Place For Bands presents:

~ Our Two Year Anniversary Show ~

Thursday November 9th 2017 @ DSTRCT (10 Wyndham St. N)

****A night of post-punk and heavy shoegaze: this is a loud show****

~ Blessed ~ (Abbotsford, BC)
If you've been following Place For Bands for the last two years then you already know we are big supporters of Blessed. It seems like they spend the better part of every year on the road so, thanks, guys, for making a stop yet again in town for this one. Hard working doesn't begin to cut it, they are machines. Heavy, driving, technical, mathed-up post-punk and their latest release "II" is the definition of a burner. Link provided below so you can try to wrap your head around it:

~ WHIMM ~ (Toronto, ON)
On the road promoting the release of their full-length "A Stare Ajar" through Pleasance Records (out October 27th), Whimm are in Guelph once more presenting their unique brand of raw and noisy post-punk. Frenetic, energetic, precise and quite frankly, weird, these factors come together to create a whirling, tumultuous atmosphere. Check out the three singes released from "A Stare Ajar" thus far below at their bandcamp:

~ Iris ~ (Toronto, ON)
Don't call it a comeback. Iris is back with new songs and a new line-up and we are overjoyed to present them on this bill. Fuzzy yet blissful and ethereal, energies converge to create a heavy shoegaze blanket and wall of sound that are certain to make you, definitely me, cry your fucking eyes out. Check out their newesr EP "iris" below as well as some kind words from Noisey:
